This large property, designed by renowned Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, is set in lush mature gardens on the fresh, hilly fringes of Sofia. The lobby is very large with a generous reception area. There is a large seating area which leads down to a circular lobby bar and the Viennese cafe. Parts of the lobby are given over to art exhibitions. The rooms are good sized with pastille decor and dark wooden furniture. This hotel boasts the most comprehensive facilities of any hotel in Bulgaria with the largest ballroom, spacious meeting rooms, six restaurants, three bars, a barbecue terrace, a night club and a roof top gaming casino. The restaurants include the Panorama, which offers international cuisine combined with beautiful views over Sofia and the Vitosha Mountain, the Sakura, which offers Oriental cuisine in the inner Japanese garden and the Lozenets which offers traditional Bulgarian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The extensive arcade features a wine-tasting boutique and a styling salon with facial and body care, massage therapies, manicure and pedicure.
