An enormous concrete high-rise block with a dark façade, this is another of Sofia's Soviet-era properties that may not look immediately attractive but offer a surprisingly high standard of amenities. The medium sized lobby offers a bright, modern ambiance. The light coloured decor behind the reception desk contrasts with the dark marble trim. The rooms are medium sized and in fair condition, with white walls and brown woodwork. Although rather old fashioned, they are clean and functional. The bathrooms are simple but adequate. The Panorama restaurant on the top floor provides international cuisine. The Chinese restaurant is famous for its oriental cuisine and is know as on of the best in the city. The hotel also has a popular casino.
